This graphic view creates crystal clear picture of the state the team’s work in the repository. It also shows you which commits from one branch are missing from another. In the maze of branches that a repository can have, this clears a path to tell you which commits have been cherry picked or merged from another branch. Vershd has a unique branch comparison tool which gives immediate visual insights into which commits are similar between the branches. However, we've also introduced unique ideas to help software developers get on with coding more quickly. We pride ourselves on being responsive to our customers feedback, and it has steered quite a bit of what we do. It works on Windows, Linux and macOS, and is exactly the same version on each. Vershd is aimed at software developers who are tired of struggling with Git. And so Vershd, the effortless Git GUI, was born. We wanted software to handle Git that was easy and quick to use, with features to accelerate our workflow. It's wonderfully powerful but can erase days of coding in just a second. One of the most critical problems was dealing with the command line leviathan that is Git, the version control system. All those frustrations that hold us all back from doing the one thing that really counts: shipping code to customers. I've been a software developer for many years, and one day I and others were talking long and loud about the road blocks we face every day as engineers. It’s a great opportunity to be able to tell you all about our project. Wood, CEO & Founder (and the Vershd team). We’ve come a long way, and we’d like you to join us on the journey. We’re looking forward to helping you move onto an effortless Git client. You can find out more about us via our company’s social media channels. You can use your standard diff software via Git, which we hook straight into.Ĭurrently no, but this is on our roadmap for Q3 at the latest. * Do You Have a Built In File Diff Viewer?Ĭurrently no, but this is on our roadmap for Q3. The more customers we get, the better we can support each and every one of you. You can of course also contact us at: as a small independent software vendor, if you can support us with a good review on AppSumo it would be greatly appreciated. It creates a support ticket automatically for us so we can start working on it more quickly. You can easily do screenshots, text and more to tell us everything you want to have changed. We love feedback, and its best sent via Vershd itself, since it gets to us quickest. I'm not opposed to keeping my premium license if there's added value I get as a paid user, but if the functionality is identical to personal accounts, there's no value keeping my code save supporting developers :)Ĭan you clarify on any added value I get with a paying sub? After signing up, I learned that the platform is totally free for personal use. Tossed it in the trash again.Purchased a license a little spontaneously as I see a lot of value using this service for some of my hobby builds. Apparently this app uses a subscription model ($30/year) just to access private repos. The support person "passed this feedback onto their team" but I still continue to get SPAM from them, which I'll continue to report to SENDGRID and their content provider.ģ/10 tried 6.5.4 and it logged me into Github w/o a problem, so they fixed that. And that, in my opinion, did not give them permission to SPAM me to death. I had to explain that I'd never logged in or signed up for ANYTHING but sending them a support email. I complained to the tech support person about all the marketing email and that their marketing person was being way to aggressive. Finally, support contacted me to tell me it's an "authorization error" but by then, I'd tossed Gitkraken into the trash with extreme prejudice. Proceeded to get a bunch of marketing emails about all sorts of deals. I emailed the company and got an autoreply. 2/6/20 This failed to connect to Github out of the box with a 1003 error.
